Getting Here
Chittlehampton is quite an easy place to find and there are several ways into the village. Coming from South Molton, turn right at the War Memorial and you will come to the church square with the Bell Inn on your left. Hope Cottage is a little way up on the right and is the first cottage in a row of thatches.
Alternatively, taking the next right turning after the war memorial you will come in to the village past the village hall on your right, Hope Cottage will be on your left. The village shop is diagonally opposite the cottage.
Road – The A361 North Devon Link Road is only three miles to the north. This provides good access to Barnstaple, Tiverton and links with the M5 motorway at Junction 27. Rail – Tiverton Parkway railway station provides services to the Midlands and north of England and via Taunton and Westbury to London Paddington. A branch line operates from Barnstaple to Exeter, with a station at Umberleigh (approximately two and a half miles to the south-west), with links both with the mainline railway to London Paddington and also via Salisbury to London Waterloo.
