Directions
Chittlehampton is quite an easy place to find and there are several ways into the village. Coming from South Molton turn right at the War Memorial and the road winds down to the church square with the Bell Inn on your left. Hope Cottage is a little way up on the right and is the first cottage in a row of thatches. If you take the next right turn after the war memorial you will come in to the village with the village hall on your right. Hope will be on your left with the village shop diagonally opposite.
Road – The North Devon Link Road is only three miles away. This provides good access to Barnstaple, Tiverton and links with the M5 motorway at Junction 27. Rail – Tiverton Parkway railway station provides services to the Midlands and north of England and via Taunton and Westbury to London Paddington. A branch line operates from Barnstaple to Exeter, with a station at Umberleigh (approximately two and a half miles to the south-west), with links both with the mainline railway to London Paddington and also via Salisbury to London Waterloo.
