What We Provide and What you Need to Bring
We Provide:
- Tea bags, ground coffee, coffee granules and sugar
- Salt & pepper, olive oil & balsamic vinegar
- A two pint container of milk in the fridge
- Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, washing liquid for the washing machine and fabric softener
- A bath sheet and hand towel for each guest, plus one bathmat
- Two Tea Towels, a washing up cloth and sponge
- Hand towel in the kitchen
- An initial supply of Toilet Rolls (2 per loo)
- One kitchen roll
- Refuse Sacks and extra bags for the food recycling caddy
- Liquid hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen.
- Cleaning materials (Antiviral spray, general cleaning spray and cleaning cloths)
- Hair Dryers in all three bedrooms
- An Iron and Ironing Board (in the Tap room)
- Chromecast receiver in lounge to allow you to stream from your own Netflix, Prime, BBC accounts. So no password sharing risk.
- We provide one free box of logs for the wood burner, together with eco firelighters and kindling. An additional bag of logs are left in the Tap Room during the winter months.
- A kettle BBQ is provided at our 'away garden' just two minutes walk up Back Lane. BBQ coals, Eco firelighters, lighter fuel and matches can be found in the box to the left of the garden table. There are BBQ tools under the dresser in the kitchen.
Things you may need to bring:
- There is a selection of games in the chest under the window in the lounge as well as a selection of books. You may chose to bring your own and/or favourites plus game console.
- Wellies/Walking boots and waterproofs, (essential during the winter or wet weather if you wish to explore)
- Extra Toilet Rolls
Telephones:
We do not have a landline and as the mobile signal isn't that good we make calls via the wifi. This works very well in all areas of the cottage apart from the Tap room. You may need to enable wifi calling in the settings tab on your phone.
There is also a working public phone box in the village just down from The Bell Pub.
Wifi:
The Wifi is free at Hope Cottage and the code is in the guest book on the coffee table and on the table by the router.
